
Accommodation at Bangor University
Currently the University has about 3,000 places in Bangor.
We are able to guarantee a place in a hall of residence to all new first year undergraduates who make an application within the given time frame.
St Mary's Village
Opened in September 2015. It is a development of 600 rooms with a range of accommodation including studio apartments and townhouses. There is also a cafe, shop, launderette, common rooms and sports and fitness room facilities on location.
The Ffriddoedd site
The Halls of Residence below were built in 2009 and are all self catering with en-suite rooms. Some large rooms are available at additional cost.
Reichel
Neuadd Reichel was refurbished in 2011 and is a self-catered hall of around 120 rooms, with shared kitchens and bathrooms. It has a mix of standard, larger and small rooms.
Neuadd John Morris-Jones
Neuadd JMJ is a self catering hall with en-suite bedrooms composed of two adjacent halls of residence on the Ffriddoedd Site. These are known as Neuadd JMJ, Adeilad Tegfan and Neuadd JMJ, Adeilad Bryn Dinas. The two buildings are linked. The halls are primarily for Welsh speaking and Welsh learning undergraduate students.
The Normal site
The following Halls of Residence are located on the Normal site, near the School of Sport, Health and Exercise Science and the School of Education.
The Normal site is situated midway between Bangor and Menai Bridge, around 15 minutes' walk from the main University buildings. These halls are self-catering and have shared bathrooms.
Neuadd Garth
Neuadd Garth is an undergraduate hall located on College road, a few minutes walk from the Main Arts building. It is a self-catering hall with en-suite facilities
Bryn Eithin
Bryn Eithin is a postgraduate hall located near the centre of Bangor, in an elevated position with spectacular views overlooking the city. It is a self-catering hall with shared bathroom facilities.
