At High Point University, every student receives an extraordinary education in an inspiring environment with caring people. HPU is a private comprehensive institution, rooted in the liberal arts, with 4,800 undergraduate and graduate students from 48 states and 37 countries. High Point University currently offers 48 undergraduate majors, 51 undergraduate minors and 13 graduate degree programs, including doctoral programs in educational leadership and pharmacy, and a physical therapy doctoral program proposed for 2017.
High Point University is committed to academic excellence. Students are mentored by caring faculty who are actively involved in teaching and scholarly research. HPU’s signature experiential learning program differentiates this collegiate experience from others, and reinforces what is taught in the classroom while providing students with resources for professional networking and deep, practical knowledge of their fields.
The High Point University Panthers compete in 16 NCAA Div. I sports and are members of the Big South Conference. HPU also provides 20 club sports and more than 100 student clubs and organizations.
